FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Bond is set at $5 million for a Ripon man accused of trying to kill a Fond du Lac woman with an axe.
Hayden Daffinson is charged in Fond du Lac County Court with attempted first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree sexual assault, mayhem, reckless injury, intimidation of a victim and false imprisonment.
According to the criminal complaint, Daffinson struck the victim more than 25 times with a hatchet, leaving her with life-threatening injuries.
He would face up to life in prison if convicted.
