OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, Wis. — Four people are hurt — two seriously — in separate weekend crashes in Outagamie County.
In the first incident, the sheriff’s office says two pickup trucks collided head-on at the intersection of Rexford and Center Valley roads in the town of Ellington around 11:50 a.m. Saturday.
The 84-year-old Shiocton man driving one of the trucks was airlifted to the hospital — where his condition is unknown. The 68-year-old Hortonville man operating the other vehicle and the 59-year-old Appleton man riding with him were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. An 11-year-old also riding in that truck was not transported.
Then shortly before 5:30 p.m. Sunday, a dirt bike reportedly struck a stopped vehicle head-on near the intersection of Emery Lane and Woller Drive in the town of Vandenbroek.
The 70-year-old Missouri man operating the bike was airlifted to the hospital — where his condition is also unknown. The 34-year-old Kaukauna woman driving the other vehicle was not hurt.
Investigators do not believe alcohol was a factor in both crashes.
