OSHKOSH, Wis. — The City of Oshkosh votes to end ambulance service for outlying communities.
Oshkosh Common Council members unanimously approved a resolution Tuesday to terminate the city’s Ambulance Service Agreement with the towns of Black Wolf, Algoma, Nekimi, Omro, Poygan, Rushford, Utica and Winneconne, the village of Winneconne and the city of Omro.
That resolution also authorizes city staff to negotiate with the towns of Algoma, Black Wolf and Nekimi for ambulance service agreements for 2026 and consider options for fire and EMS services in 2027 and beyond.
