TOWN OF OAKFIELD, Wis. — A head-on collision in the Town of Oakfield Tuesday afternoon seriously injures one man and causes the death of a woman.
The Fond du Lac County Communications Center received multiple calls just before 12:30 p.m. of a head-on crash on U.S. Highway 151 near Thill Road.
An 81-year-old Sun Prarie woman was pronounced dead at the scene and a 58-year-old Waupun man sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
The Fond du Lac County Crash Reconstruction team says initial findings indicate the 81-year-old woman was driving south on Highway 151 and may have suffered a medical emergency. Her vehicle crossed the median into the path of the Waupun man, whose vehicle also sideswiped a third vehicle. Nobody in the third vehicle was injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
