GRAND CHUTE, Wis. — A special prosecutor will not file any additional charges against a former member of the Grand Chute Town Board. Brown County District Attorney David Lasee has completed a review of complaints filed against former Grand Chute Supervisor Ron Wolff.
In a report sent to state Division of Criminal Justice investigators, Lasee says there is evidence that Wolff did not live in the town of Grand Chute when he initially served on the board and voted in elections in 2021.

DCI detectives tracked Wolff’s whereabouts during that time and set up a remote camera near his actual residence in the town of Nichols. Lasee says that vague state laws on residency would have made it difficult to get a conviction.
Lasee also looked into allegations that Wolff and other town board members violated state open meetings laws by voting to fire former Town Administrator James March at a meeting where that was not on the agenda–and that those that spearheaded the firing effort used their personal emails to communicate about the subject in 2023.
The DA points out that none of those supervisors are on the town board anymore–and it would not be in the best interest of residents to pursue any further criminal cases.
