GREEN BAY, Wis–Amtrak is ending its bus service through the Fox Valley. The rail provider operated a daily bus service from Green Bay through Appleton, Oshkosh, and Fond du Lac to its station in Milwaukee.
A release from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation says the $15-million in state funding for the program was removed from the new budget, and that ridership and ticket sales were not meeting rising costs.
The Amtrak buses will stop running October 1st.
