OSHKOSH, Wis. — The Oshkosh Area School District sees declines in reading and math proficiency.
The latest Forward Exam scores from last spring show lower percentages in both reading and math proficiency across most grade levels.
The district’s average ACT score for high school juniors also went down this spring.
School board member Barbara Herzog thinks changing curriculum in both fields had an effect……….

In the Forward Exam, 44 percent of Oshkosh students were proficient in math, down four percent from the year before. Forty-five percent of Oshkosh students were proficient in reading, down two percent from the year before.
