APPLETON, Wis. — An Appleton police officer is run over by an alleged drunk driver.
Katrina Kitzman was reportedly involved in a disturbance in a parking lot near S. Walnut Street and W. Lawrence Street around 2:45 a.m. Saturday.
When officers arrived on the scene, they allegedly saw Kitzman drive toward a group of people in the lot. She then reportedly drove toward the officers, striking one of them, knocking him to the ground and then running over his legs.
The officer was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and released.
Criminal charges are pending.
