APPLETON, Wis. — No one is hurt in an Appleton shooting incident.
Police were called to a residence Sunday morning on the report of a bullet that was fired into it.
Officers learned that a person in a neighboring unit had been demonstrating basic firearm handling to two other people when the individual pulled the trigger, thinking the gun was unloaded.
The bullet penetrated through a shared interior wall, missing four people — including a young child and an infant — in the other unit.
Appleton police are recommending charges of reckless endangerment against the suspect.
