KEWAUNEE COUNTY, Wis. — A Wausaukee man with a history of auto theft is accused of stealing a pickup truck while on a test drive.
James Nys was arrested this week after taking a 1995 truck being sold by a private party in Kewaunee County and never bringing it back.
The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office says Nys pulled the same scheme on a private seller in Delta County, Michigan, as well.
Nys has previous auto theft convictions on his record and was recently released from prison.
Criminal charges are pending.
