OSHKOSH, Wis. — A suspect is now in custody in connection with a hit-and-run crash in Oshkosh Dec. 12 that left a woman with life-threatening injuries. The Oshkosh Police Department says a 31-year-old man from Omro was arrested Friday at a jobsite in Green Lake County.
The truck involved in the hit-and-run was found a short time after the incident outside of Coloma in Waushara County.
Oshkosh police were able to identify the man through information from witnesses who aided the victim, 18-year-old Kaylee Jackson, and video surveillance footage from near Bowen Street and Merritt Avenue prior to the incident.
The suspect is jailed on charges of hit and run causing great bodily harm and vehicle owner’s liability for failing to stop at the scene of an accident. The suspect’s name has not been released.
