MANITOWOC COUNTY, Wis. — A Manitowoc County high school student is injured while boarding a school bus.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to the incident in the 7000 block of County Highway J just before 7:30 a.m. Monday.
The sheriff’s office says a 15-year-old boy was attempting to cross the highway when he was struck by a pickup truck driven by a 59-year-old St. Nazianz man. The boy was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The sheriff’s offices says the school bus had its flashing lights and stop arm extended at the time.
The pickup truck driver was cited for failure to stop for a school bus and inattentive driving.
No other information is being released.
