GREEN BAY, Wis. — An Appleton nurse practitioner will spend 16 months in prison for illegally prescribing opioids for her patients.
Jessica Friday is also sentenced in Green Bay federal court to three years on supervised release for distribution of a controlled substance outside the course of professional practice.
Friday prescribed painkillers to patients who did not need them for medical reasons, so long as they provided half the pills for her own use from 2020 to 2024.
