NEENAH, Wis. — A Neenah Middle School teacher is facing drug charges.
Benjamin Schmidt is charged in Winnebago County Court with misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of THC.
According to the criminal complaint, police were called to Schmidt’s residence last month by his estranged wife claiming there were drugs in the home and that her husband would consume them before going to work.
Officers then went to the school where Schmidt taught and reportedly found drugs in his vehicle and his desk.
The Neenah School District says Schmidt has been placed on leave since his arrest.
