APPLETON, Wis. — The Appleton Area School District will be going to the voters with a $60 million referendum in April.
The school board approves a question that will be on the April 7 ballot authorizing an extra $15 million a year above the state-mandated revenue cap for the next four years.
Board president Kay Eggert says that is what is needed just to maintain what the district is already doing……………..
Board member Oliver Zornow blames state funding levels for the situation the district finds itself in now……….
The Appleton Area School District is looking at a projected $11 million structural deficit heading into 2027.
