GRAND CHUTE, Wis. — A program that aims to expand healthcare access in the Fox Valley gets a financial boost.
Nonprofit health insurance provider Medica has made a $400,000 donation to Partnership Community Health Center.
The money will support community health workers, whose job is to connect families to resources such as primary health care, basic needs, financial literacy programs and community wellness initiatives.

Community health workers have been partnering with the nonprofit groups Multicultural Coalition and NEW HMong to establish connections with the minority groups they serve. Multicultural Vice Chair Pam Her says the funding will help remove barriers some people are facing………
In addition to the Multicultural Coalition and NEW HMong, community health workers will be partnering with the nonprofit People of Progression in the future.
