TOWN OF BYRON, Wis. — A woman is dead after a fire at a Fond du Lac County campground.
Crews were called to the Breezy Hill Campground in the town of Byron around 11 a.m. Sunday to find a camper engulfed in flames.
A man and three children had escaped the camper, but a woman remained trapped inside. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man and the children were all treated for minor injuries.
The fire appeared to start in a kitchen area, but the exact cause has not been determined.
