MARINETTE, Wis. — Criminal charges are filed against a Marinette County man accused of killing his girlfriend.
Robert Chilcote is facing one count of first-degree intentional homicide.
According to the criminal complaint, Chilcote shot Gabriella Cartagena in the head during an argument at Red Arrow Park in Marinette on Feb. 4. He allegedly dumped her body in Menominee County, Michigan, before driving to Minnesota where he was arrested following a police chase.
Chilcote faces life in prison if convicted.
