OSHKOSH, Wis–The Winnebago County Board doesn’t even take a vote on a resolution that would have denounced Immigration and Customs Enforcement actions in Minnesota.
The measure, introduced by Supervisors Lucas Reinke of Neenah and Kristl Laux of Menasha, was removed from the Board’s agenda at the start of this week’s meeting at the request of Supervisor Doug Nelson of Winneconne………
The resolution referred to the deaths of two people in the Twin Cities, and noted that Winnebago County has no authority to regulate, direct, or control federal immigration policies.
