TOWN OF CHILTON, Wis. — One person is dead — two others are hurt — following a crash in Calumet County.
The sheriff’s office says a vehicle northbound on State Highway 57 crossed the centerline in the town of Chilton and struck two oncoming vehicles around 8:10 p.m. Monday.
The 77-year-old De Pere man driving the northbound car was pronounced dead at the scene. The 50-year-old Kiel man operating one of the southbound vehicles and a child riding with him were taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The 39-year-old Appleton man driving the third car was not hurt.
While the cause of the crash is under investigation, alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
