Something about the way Joe Kent’s resignation is being covered doesn’t sit right with me.
It was hard for me to put my finger on it in the immediate aftermath. When I first found out about it I was 4 minutes away from going on the air, so research was at a premium.
Having had just over 24 hours to digest the announcement, I think I know what it is.
Joe Kent and I, do not know each other. To be frank, he and I agree on very little. We agree on this though.
Not only do we agree that this war is not America’s business, but we agree that we were dragged into this fight by our ally, Israel.
Donald Trump said it, Marco Rubio said it, Joe Kent said it.
So I guess my question is, why is the media portraying this man like some kind of conspiracy theorist.
If you agree with Trump that we need to fight this war, that’s great. You have the right to do so.
However, you also need to acknowledge that you are in a minority. A small one. Less than 30% to be specific.
So… how is it, that a guy who is saying what more than 70% of the country is saying, that is echoing statements from both the President and the Secretary of State, is portrayed as someone we shouldn’t listen to?
By both liberal and conservative media, no less.
I talked about it for the first hour of my show. You can click the player at the top of the article or you can watch the show on YouTube
@bencominos Something seems off about this Joe Kent resignation. His attitude towards conflict overseas mirrors the majority of Americans much more than our elected officials do, yet it seems like it’s open season on this guy. Thoughts? #antiwar #iranvsisrael
