FOND DU LAC, Wis. — A Ripon man who attacked his ex-girlfriend with a hatchet reaches a plea deal with prosecutors.
Hayden Daffinson is convicted in Fond du Lac County Court on one count of attempted first-degree intentional homicide, while five other charges are dismissed.
Daffinson struck the woman with the hatchet more than 30 times during an attack in June of last year.
He faces up to life in prison when sentenced on June 29.
