Dave Edwards and How’s your week going? 3-24-26
Full disclosure: I ran across this delightful wine on vacation. My wife and I were in Arizona and just outside of Cottonwood is the town of Jerome. It’s quaint now after being a raucous and rowdy mining town back a hundred years ago. And, we ran into this lovely wine during lunch at a cozy old hotel/restaurant.
Areyna is one of the best Malbecs I’ve come across in some time, and it’s affordable! Run you about $14-$18 a bottle. Malbecs originate in Argentina, tend to be a bit jammy up front, with this one exuding a raspberry hit with a smooth finish. Not too sweet, but maybe it’s enough if you’re into that.
This pairs really well with meats, pasta dishes or just twist that cork out and enjoy just for the fun of it! I will get this again!
Cheers!
