FOND DU LAC, Wis. — A man in the country illegally is charged in connection with a stabbing incident in Fond du Lac.
Luis Sevilla Benavidez is facing counts of attempted-first degree intentional homicide, mayhem and aggravated battery.
Sevilla Benavidez is accused of stabbing his 51-year-old mother multiple times during an attack last month. The Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office says he is in the country illegally.
He would face up to life in prison if convicted.
