(NEENAH, WI) — A Neenah man found guilty of killing his grandparents wants a new trial.
Alexander Kraus is appealing his conviction on two counts of First Degree Intentional Homicide in Outagamie County Court. Kraus was a teenager when he shot and killed Dennis and Letha Kraus to death in their beds in 2019.
He reportedly claimed he planned to steal guns from the house to execute a school shooting at Neenah High.
Kraus’ appeal argues the judge in his case failed to properly consider the teen’s mental health issues in finding him competent to stand trial.
Kraus is currently serving two life sentences.
