APPLETON, Wis–Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich will not face any criminal charges in connection with the installation of recording devices at City Hall. Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney reviewed an investigation by West Allis Police and finds no grounds for prosecution.
Genrich had the cameras and microphones installed outside of his office and in other hallways in Green Bay City Hall in 2021. They were removed by a court order in 2023.
In a statement, Toney says that he found the cameras did not constitute a violation of privacy for those in those areas of City Hall.
