OSHKOSH, Wis. — An Omro man is in custody following a shooting near the UW-Oshkosh campus.
Police were called to the area of McKinley Avenue and John Street around 7 p.m. Saturday to find a 17-year-old boy with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The 23-year-old suspect was taken into custody a short time later following a high-risk traffic stop.
UW-Oshkosh police issued an alert urging students to stay inside during the search for the alleged shooter.
Criminal charges are pending.
