(GREEN BAY) — Non-profit agency Newcap files for bankruptcy.
The organization–which worked to help the homeless–ceased operations earlier this month, after reporting a $2-million the last two years. The filing lists $4-million in debts, with just less than $6-million in assets.
Newcap came under scrutiny this year following reports that its former CEO–Cheryl Detrick–saw her salary more than double while the organization was operating at a deficit.
A hearing on the bankruptcy case is set for April 22nd.
