(MANITOWOC, WI.) –A trial date is now set for both suspects in the death of a Manitowoc County boy.
Katrina Baur and Jesse Vang will be tried together on April 14, 2027 in connection with the death of Baur’s son, three-year old Elijah Vue of Two Rivers. The toddler was in the custody of Vang when he disappeared in February of 2024. Months later Vue’s remains were found near Camp Manitou.
Baur is charged with chronic neglect of a child where the consequence is death. Vang is charged with physical abuse of a child causing death and hiding a corpse.
