An early morning fire at a 16-unit apartment complex in Shiocton left about 25 people without a place to stay.
The fire broke out just before 1:00 a.m. near Broad and Railroad streets.
Shiocton Bovina Fire Chief Butch Bunnell says one unit was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived. He says 20 to 25 people were displaced.
Bunnell says he’s not sure when they’ll be allowed back inside, but the Red Cross is helping them.
He says the cause is still under investigation.
