One of the girls in the Slender man case will spend 40 years under the state’s care.
15-year-old Morgan Geyser was sentenced to the maximum by a Waukesha County judge. Prosecutors say Geyser and Anissa Weier were 12 when they lured a classmate to a park and attacked her to please the fictional character. They say the victim survived after Geyser stabbed the girl 19 times.
Geyser apologized during yesterday’s hearing.
Geyser will stay in a state mental hospital but she can ask to be moved to a less restrictive setting depending on her progress. Weier was sentenced to 25 years in a mental hospital last December.
