The Stockbridge school district will get some extra money through a new state law helping rural schools.
Superintendent Chad Marx says they qualify for funding because they have less than 745 students, and fewer than 10 students per square mile. He says they plan to use the $100-per student in new funding, in the classroom.
Marx says they could spend it on more laptops for students.
He says the district is also getting an additional $72,000 through the state budget that lawmakers passed last September.
