The impact of the tourism industry across Wisconsin surpassed $20 billion for the first time last year.
The total of $20.6 billion was up 3.2 percent from 2016.
Pam Seidl is the executive director of the Fox Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau. She says the figures show the tourism industry is really robust. She says that should continue, because of the state’s beautiful natural resources, and other things to see and do.
The total for Outagamie County was almost $611 million, and Winnebago’s nearly reached $470 million. Brown County was at $1.1 billion, and Calumet’s was $61 million.
Governor Walker stopped at the Titletown District in the Green Bay area to talk about the tourism figures this morning.
