Three pontoons that were set up by the organizers of a fireworks show for Celebrate De Pere were involved in a fire last night.
Asst. Fire Chief Rich Annen says the boats were anchored in the Fox River for safety reasons. Two of them caught fire.
Annen says while it’s not uncommon to have small fires during a fireworks show, last night’s was outside of the norm.
No one was hurt.
