The Old Glory Honor Flight will take Vietnam veterans back to Vietnam next year.
Chris Berkers is on the group’s board. He says they expect a lot of interest, and they’ll use a lottery system to pick 50 vets to go on the two-week trip in February or March.
Berkers says a number of Vietnam vets have been asking about the possibility of returning. Old Glory Honor Flight held a similar trip. to Pearl Harbor for World War II vets in 2012.
Vietnam vets can start signing up. on the Old Glory Honor Flight website tomorrow. The group will pick the participants between August 15 and September 1.
Berkers says they’re looking for donations to make sure the trip is free for veterans.
