Democrats are drawing attention to the condition of the state’s roads, and blaming it on Governor Walker.
Sen. Caleb Frostman of Sturgeon Bay and state Democratic Party Chair Martha Laning were in Green Bay this morning to launch a “Fix Our Roads” tour.
TJ Helmstetter is a spokesman for the state party. He pointed to a study by the American Society of Civil Engineers that shows the average Wisconsin driver pays $640 a year on vehicle repairs because of road conditions.
Helmstetter also says U.S. News and World Report ranked Wisconsin second-to-last in the country for road conditions.
