With more than one month left in the 2018 season the Port of Green Bay has already passed it’s tonnage total from 2017.
Port Director Dean Haen says they’re almost 300,000 tons above what they were this time in 2017. He says they expect that to rise as they get toward the end of the season.
Haen says they’re on pace to reach or pass their goal of two million tons for the season. He says the port seems to be an indicator of the economy in northeast Wisconsin. He says their continued high tonnage bodes well for the next three-to-six months for the area.
