Outagamie County Sheriff’s deputies say a 48-year-old man shot and killed himself during a several-hour standoff yesterday.
Police were called to a house on Highway 96 around 4 p.m.
Sgt. Nathan Borman says a woman was able to escape. He says the man fired several shots but didn’t hit anyone.
Borman says they tried to contact the man for several hours, and they found him dead inside the home around 9:15 p.m.
