Former Green Bay Alderman Guy Zima filed a lawsuit this week against the City of Green Bay and Mayor Jim Schmitt for defamation and slander.
The civil lawsuit claims Schmitt, in a television interview, compared him to Harvey Weinstein, the Hollywood film producer accused of sexual abuses.
Zima says that harmed his reputation.
Zima served on the city council for 40 years before being voted off in April.
