Appleton’s truancy court is on hold until the end of the school year, and the head of the district says administrators will develop a plan for the future of the system.
The school board received a consultant’s report last night. Duane McCrary blames Outagamie County Judge Mark McGinnis for bullying students, and calls for him to be replaced.
Superintendent Judy Baseman says administrators will put together a timeline for board members on January 12th. She says they’ll likely create a task force with community members, and the meetings would be open to the public.
The district hired a consultant to review the system, after students and parents raised concerns. Last night’s board meeting was packed for the release of the report.
