Oshkosh police say several people attacked a man in Menominee Park, on the city’s east side, and one of the suspects fired a gun.
Lt. Andrew Lecker says officers went to the park around 1:30 a.m. Monday. He says the victim was beaten, but no one was hit by the bullet.
Lecker says all of the suspects were gone when police got there, but they took several people into custody, as part of the investigation. He says they also have the gun they believe was used.
Lecker says the victim was targeted, and he knew at least some of the attackers.
