An expert with a company that predicts gas prices says the days of paying less than $2 a gallon are probably numbered.
Patrick DeHaan of GasBuddy believes there will be changes by mid-February. He says prices in northeast Wisconsin might be in the mid-to-upper $2 range by Memorial Day weekend. He says they could reach the $3 level, but he doesn’t expect them to go much higher than that.
DeHaan says if President Trump makes a trade deal with China, and OPEC continues to cut production, prices are expected to rise.
A year ago today, gas was going for $2.41 a gallon in the Fox Cities.
