There will be races for three seats on Appleton city council in April, and possibly a fourth.
Ald. Kathy Plank declared yesterday that she’s not running again. That gives candidates in District 7 until next Monday at 4:30 p.m. to get on the ballot. Eric Breiland is currently the only person running for that seat.
Ald. Bob Baker faces a challenge from Alex Schultz in District 9.
Ald. Kyle Lobner will square off against Walter Blank in District 13.
In District 4, Brad Firkus will take on Ryan Kubat, after longtime Ald. Curt Konetzke decided not to seek re-election.
Ald. Ed Baranowski also isn’t running in District 5, and Katie Van Zeeland will be the only candidate on the ballot.
