There’s a community celebration tomorrow of the life of a longtime president of the Appleton school board.
Sharon Fenlon died unexpectedly nearly two weeks ago. She didn’t seek another term two years ago after spending three decades on the board. She was the president for the final 23 years.
Former superintendent Lee Allinger says Fenlon helped set a culture that focused on improvement, consensus, and valuing people’s perspectives. He says she also wanted to offer more opportunities.
Tomorrow’s celebration is in downtown Appleton at the Trout Museum of Art on College Avenue. It runs from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
