The head of Appleton’s parks, recreation and facilities department is taking a new job.
Dean Gazza will be the director of buildings and grounds for the Kimberly school district.
He spent 13 years with the city, and he helped oversee a number of large projects. They include the Fox Cities Exhibition Center, Jones Park, and the police station expansion.
Gazza credited his staff with the city for the department’s success. His last day with the city is February 1st.
Gazza says he’s excited about having a new opportunity and challenge with the school district.
