Appleton police say a suspect in a house forced officers to close a small stretch of Wisconsin Avenue for a short time Thursday afternoon.
They say a woman accused a 30-year-old Appleton man of hitting her, and police thought he might have a gun. They shut down the street, between Morrison and Drew streets, for about a half-hour, starting around 3:45 p.m.
They say the man had a number of warrants, and he surrendered.
