Nonprofits across the country are highlighting efforts to attract women and people of color to their boards.
Tomorrow is National Nonprofit Draft Day.
Locally, a spokeswoman for Volunteer Fox Cities says they don’t have a problem attracting women, but many groups are having a hard time attracting minorities. Carol Bloemer says it’s something their organization is trying to fix by reaching out to minority group associations.
Bloemer recommends that other nonprofits do the same.
