A wedding barn owner is talking about a lawsuit she filed against Governor Evers’ administration.
Former Attorney General Brad Schimel said in November that barns should be considered public spaces. That means that they would need a liquor license to sell alcohol.
Jean Bahn owns Farmview Event Barn in Berlin. She says it’s difficult to plan events if they don’t know if the rules of the business will change. She says they mainly host weddings and some are booked out into 2020.
Bahn says since the issue is unclear she and her husband hired a lawyer. The lawsuit was filed last Tuesday in Dunn County Circuit Court.
A spokeswoman for Evers says the governor is still looking into the issue since it was questioned by the previous administration.
