A school in Oshkosh is holding a community celebration tomorrow in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Ryan Peterson is principal at Merrill Middle School. He says it’s their fifth annual event, and students put it together. He says six middle school students will speak, and they invited others from Oshkosh North High School.
Peterson says a Madison drum and dance corps that performs West African dance will also be there.
The celebration is from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. tomorrow. Other schools around the district will hold special activities throughout the month to celebrate King’s life.
