Home sales were down slightly across the state last year and an economist is predicting a similar market in 2019.
David Clark is with the Wisconsin Realtors Association. He says hopefully there will continue to be a solid market. He says the issue comes down to supply.
Clark says for some time they’ve had more demand from buyers than there are homes for sale.
Last year, sales were down 2.2 percent in Wisconsin. The statewide median price rose seven percent to $184,000. The market was similar in the northeast region. Sales were down 2.5 percent. The median price was up six percent to $156,000.
